Official Launch of Upper East @ Tiger Lane
The Andaman Group has always brought class to all its functions and events, from the gathering of vintage automobiles and supercars to the diamonds given out on media nights.
At the official launch of the developer’s latest residential property project called Upper East @ Tiger Lane on December 14, the company brought in 57 of the 63 beauty contestants from across the globe who are in Malaysia to participate in the finals of the 18th Miss Tourism International to be held on the 31st of this month at Putrajaya.
Heading the delegation of beauties to Upper East @ Tiger Lane was Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi, franchise owner of the prestigious Miss Tourism International beauty pageant, and founder of the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR).
Invited guests at the private event were treated to a beauty parade and had the opportunity to get to know the ladies a little more through a self-introductory round.
And then, it was time for the official launch of the property by the beauty queens on stage, alongside Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi and Andaman Group Managing Director Dato’ Sri (Dr) Vincent Tiew, by releasing silver and golden balloons into the sky.
To make the evening more interesting for this special delegation, the beauties were asked to take turns in opening a door with a key, where three participants who successfully unlocked the door would walk away with an iPhone 6 Plus.
Eventually, only Miss Cambodia managed to unlock the door, and so the organiser decided to run a lucky draw so that the other two phones could be given away to the lucky ones. They were Miss Philippines and Miss Moldova.
Adding further excitement was the announcement of a subsidiary title sponsored by Andaman group at Miss Tourism International, Miss Andaman Popularity, whereby the winner will be selected through the highest votes garnered via beautycontest.andaman.com.my. The title holder walks away with an additional cash prize of USD2,500.
Guests to the official launch of Upper East @ Tiger Lane were also given a chance for photo shoots with the beauty queens before they were escorted back to their hotel to retire for the night.
