Tourism Perak Iftar With Media Perak
The annual breaking of fast gathering with media friends from Perak, particularly those involved in the promotion of tourism for the state, was hosted by Perak State Exco for Tourism and Perak Tourism Management Berhad, this year at Simpang Tiga in Greentown, Ipoh.
In conjunction with the auspicious month of Ramadhan, the gathering aims to foster closer ties between government agencies and media practitioners to enable all who are involved in the tourism industry to work closely to bring Perak to a larger audience, both domestic and international.
In her simple opening address, Perak State Exco for Tourism, Arts and Culture Dato’ Nolee Ashilin bt. Dato’ Mohd. Radzi shared the awesome news that for the third consecutive year, Perak has seen an increase in tourist arrivals, achieving 7 million for the year 2014. It was 6.02 million in 2013. Let’s give ourselves a pat on the back for a job well done.
With this achievement, Perak is one of the top visited states in the country for last year. The challenge to us is, can we make Perak the top most visited state in Malaysia for this year?
It is possible with the launching of new Electric Train Service route from Butterworth to Ipoh, taking only 1 hour 50 minutes at a ticket fare of RM23 (adult) and RM16 (child). Check this post for the full schedule of Ipoh – Butterworth – Ipoh and the corresponding fares.
