Strengthening Ties With A Game of Bowling

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) hosted a friendly ten-pin bowling competition on Monday, with players comprising departmental heads of the council, city councillors, as well as members of the media.

In total, there were four teams, each with ten players, made up of representatives from the three groups mentioned above.

Although the contest was initially supposed to be a three-cornered fight of MBI vs. Councillors vs. Media, upon the advice of Ipoh Ciity Council Secretary Encik Mohd Zakuan bin Zakaria, it was finally decided that mixed teams were more relevant as it created an opportunity for the players to get to know one another better.

And yes, it did. New friendships were fostered as players cheered for their teammates boisterously, all in hopes of winning the grand prize.

Prizes were not only awarded to the top team; the best five players for both men and women respectively, also received household electrical items. That’s not all! The worst players of the evening also walked home as winners.
