A total of 129,702 assessment bills were settled in full for one year in 2019, bringing a revenue of RM31.9 million to the Ipoh City Council (MBI). Rate payers who paid without arrears were then entitled to participate in a lucky draw with grand prize of a brand new Proton Saga 1.3MT.

Since the introduction of this annual lucky draw as motivation and appreciation from Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI), the number of property owners who fully paid their assessment for the whole year continues to increase. This is a positive indication that they are receptive of full payment, instead of half-yearly.

Yesterday morning, the Ipoh City Council, led by Secretary Encik Mohd. Zakuan Zakaria and senior departmental heads shortlisted winners from the pool of thousands of entries.

230 entries were selected randomly. 200 from this list won consolation prizes. Among the remaining 30 prizes, besides the grand prize of a car; motorcycles, smartphones, bicycles and household electrical appliances are also up for grabs.
