MBI Charity Buka Puasa Event with Underprivileged Children

The Ipoh City Council Strategic Communications Unit collaborated with M Roof Hotel, Econsave Cash & Carry Sdn Bhd, and the Lions Club of Ipoh Centennial, jointly hosted a charity event for residents from two Ipoh children’s home: Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin, and Pertubuhan Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Al Yassin.

The programme indirectly strengthened friendly relations among all the parties involved, while helping to increase the reach of Islam in Ipoh.

The breaking of fast event was attended by Ipoh City Mayor Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi bin Baharin; Econsave Northern Division 3 Manager Encik Shah Effendy bin Rosman; Lions Club of Ipoh Centennial President Puan Sharmila Binti Senin; Founder-cum-Chairperson Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh (Perak) Y.Bhg. Datin Noraini Abdullah, alongside Principal of Pertubuhan Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Al Yassin Encik Norizan bin Razali.

Earlier in the afternoon, the children were taken to Econsave Jelapang for a shopping spree for baju Raya, sponsored by the hypermarket. Econsave also sponsored shopping vouchers and groceries to both orphanages.

M Roof Hotel was the venue and dinner sponsor, feasting guests with their Ramadan buffet menu, prepared for the first time since the hotel’s inception.

In his speech, Ipoh City Mayor Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi expressed his gratitude to M Roof Hotel, Econsave, and the Lions Club of Ipoh Centennial for supporting the Ipoh City Council, especially the MBI Prihatin Programme (MBI Cares).
