Let’s Make These Children’s Dreams Come True

The greatest gift you can give is the one that comes from the heart. This Christmas, make a child’s wish come true by taking part in Ipoh Parade’s ‘Grant A Wish’ 2019 Campaign. It is every child’s dream to receive a gift from Santa Claus and you are merely a step away from fulfilling the wishes of the underprivileged children!

For the tenth consecutive year, Ipoh Parade is holding this Christmas ‘giving’ to benefit 187 children from eight children’s homes in Perak. The children’s wishes are already posted on the shopping mall’s gigantic ‘Grant A Wish’ board on the Ground Floor, and shoppers are encouraged to bring a smile to these children.

From now until 15th December, shoppers can select a child’s wish note from the ‘Grant A Wish’ board and drop their gifts at the Information Counter. Alternatively, shoppers can also participate by donating cash into the donation box, placed next to the ‘Grant A Wish’ board. Be it a gift, pre-loved item or cash, every well-wisher’s donation will leave a memorable feeling for the underprivileged children. All cash donations received will be used by Ipoh Parade to purchase gifts for children whose wishes are displayed on the board.

The children are from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Harapan Baru, Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak – Kanak Yatim Rumah Vision, Precious Gift Home, Rainbow Children’s Home Perak, The Salvation Army c/o Ipoh Children’s Home, The Salvation Army Ipoh Boy’s Home, Pertubuhan Pengurusan Pusat Jagaan 1 Malaysia, Perak and Pertubuhan Pengurusan Rumah-rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin Anning.

On 28th December, the children will be treated to the movie “Jumanji: The Next Level” courtesy of Golden Screen Cinema (GSC) and also be feted to lunch, prior to receiving their gifts at a ceremony.

“The Grant A Wish” 2019 campaign is Ipoh Parade’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to bring Christmas cheer to marginalised children. Ipoh Parade’s Christmas programme had received positive response from shoppers in the past nine years, and it will continue with this tradition of giving,” said Ipoh Parade Advertising and Promotions Assistant Manager Lim Huey Tyng, who also expressed her appreciation on behalf of Ipoh Parade’s management, to all shoppers and sponsors for their generous contribution.

With love
