Charity Hari Raya Celebration with Ipoh City Mayor

In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, the Ipoh City Council jointly hosted a charity event with A2Z Charity Organisation in collaboration with Pertubuhan Kebajikan Sehati Ipoh, Perak at Green Green Restaurant & Café.

Meanwhile, fifty Muslim staff members of the Ipoh City Council in the B40 income category, joined by 20 children from Pertubuhan Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Al Yassin, received Duit Raya from the hosts during the meaningful event.

The Mayor thanked A2Z Charity Organisation and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Sehati Ipoh, Perak for joining the Ipoh City Council in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), especially its MBI Prihatin initiative.

He also hoped that more corporate companies and non-governmental organisations would step up efforts to sponsor programmes that benefit the underprivileged communities of Ipoh.

During the event, Mr. Jeff Lai announced the launch of an art initiative to be supported by artists nationwide, in line with the vision of Ipoh being an art city in Malaysia. 10% of the sale proceeds will be donated to the Ipoh City Council for B40 communities.

To mark this launch, artist Master Koo Tech Wah presented a piece of original acrylic art of “Cendol Coffee” to the Mayor. Cendol Coffee is a new signature item on the menu offered by Green Green Restaurant & Café.

To add to the merriment of the occasion, while guests savoured a scrumptious Hari Raya buffet spread, the Mayor was surprised with a birthday cake and gifts to mark his 49th birthday on 17th April.

The birthday cake was sponsored by a prominent local bakery, JJ Roll, while AAA Greencell Beauty & Healthcare gifted a 6G Quantum Energy Hydrogen Water Processor.
