Launch of Tasik Cermin 2: Hidden World for Visit Perak Year 2024
On 11th January 2024, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture (MOTAC) YB Tuan Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan launched Tasik Cermin 2 with much pomp and fanfare.

Notably, Tasik Cermin 2 is a section of the Tasik Cermin Eco Park, and offers a unique experience with a water tunnel that measures approximately 120 to 130 metres. To access the hidden gem, i.e. Tasik Cermin 2, visitors have to take a dinghy ride through the tunnel before being greeted by the serene lake.
To maintain the ecosystem of the area, an abandoned iron ore mining site, only low-carbon battery-operated dinghies are used.
Tasik Cermin Eco Park with a land size of 63.18 acres is being developed into a preferred eco-tourism destination in Perak. This mandate was given to Majuperak Holdings Bhd, whose parent company is PKNP, by the Ipoh City Council. With STG Sdn Bhd as their strategic partner, Tasik Cermin Eco Park is slowly but surely taking shape in line with the 3E concept that encompasses Environment, Economic and Equity.
Tasik Cermin Eco Park enjoys an average monthly visitor count of 45,000. In December 2023, it achieved a record-breaking 75,000 visitors.
