Vietnam Travel Agents On Batik Air Familiarisation Trip To Perak, Malaysia

A group of thirty respected travel agents from Vietnam was invited to a familiarisation trip to Malaysia this week, jointly organised by Tourism Malaysia Ho Chi Minh City and Batik Air. Perak was one of the focal destinations for the travel agents, in view that 2023 is Visit Ipoh Year, while 2024 is Visit Perak Year.

As part of their Perak discovery, these guests were feted to a scrumptious dinner at the enchanting Kepura Cave at the Lost World of Tambun (LWOT). The dinner was courtesy of Tourism Perak, graced by YB Loh Sze Yee, Chairman of the Tourism, Industry, Investment, and Corridor Development Committee of the Perak State Government.

Welcoming the Vietnamese guests, YB Loh stressed that this visit is only the first few steps taken in establishing bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Malaysia, specifically for the state of Perak. “We welcome you to reconnect with us at a later date, to further explore Perak’s unique attractions, to enable you to better create attractive tour packages that would position Perak as a must-visit destination of Malaysia,” YB Loh added.

Amidst the breathtaking setting and natural beauty of Kepura Cave, the agents savoured a delicious feast that showcased the flavours of Perak’s rich cuisine, finely crafted by the culinary team of Lost World of Tambun. During the meal, whilst they mingled with local tourism players and agent counterparts, they were also entertained by cultural dances, highlighting the uniqueness of the multicultural country that is Malaysia.

The following day, the agents were promised an opportunity to explore Gua Tempurung, about 35 minutes’ drive south of Ipoh. Acknowledged as one of Perak’s natural marvels, the amazing limestone formations and cave chambers with a length of more than 3 kilometres are set to stun these foreign guests. As they embraced this breathtaking beauty firsthand, they could entice their Vietnamese clientele to embark on a trip to Perak for an unforgettable holiday.
