Circus Cheer For Underprivileged Children
Heavy rain did not deter about sixty children and their guardians from making their way to watch a circus in Ipoh.
These kids, from various orphanages and children’s homes in the city were treated to a special evening of circus, sponsored by Great British Circus Malaysia.
The homes were The Salvation Army, Ipoh Love & Care Society as well as Pusat Jagaan 1 Malaysia. They were joined in by children from impoverished families and their parents. On hand to greet the guests was circus manager, Ukranian Vitalii Maliarenko.
“We hope to give something back to the community wherever we perform, with particular focus on children and the needy. With this event, we want to bring some joy to the children and excite them with our performances, which they may not have seen before. Yes, these are dangerous acts but safety is always our priority,” Maliarenko said.
It was indeed a golden opportunity for most of the children to be entertained by a top-class circus, which is still a rare treat for Malaysians.
They were seen clapping and laughing at the antics of the clowns and the next minute, shrieking in fright as they witnessed first hand death-defying acts by the performers, such as Spiderman, Flying Trapeze, Wheel of Death and Globe of Death.
Yes, last year’s sensational all-human circus is back in town, at the same venue next to AEON BiG Falim, Ipoh. This new season sees a refreshed lineup of acts, increasing the level of excitement and danger! GASP!
It is truly a circus not to be missed as this is a rare opportunity, so catch it while we can. Secure your tickets early before the circus moves to another location!
