Ipoh Starwalk 2016
The 13th annual Starwalk organised by Star Publications (M) Bhd. took a different route this year from its usual starting and ending points at Stadium Indera Mulia. This year’s event was flagged off at the Perak Turf Club (PTC) instead.
It attracted almost 15,000 participants, including Perak Menteri Besar YAB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir who joined in the walk after flagging off the 7km category. He was accompanied by Perak State Executive Council member Dato’ Dr Mah Hang Soon and Ipoh City Mayor Dato’ Zamri Man.
Although the first category was supposed to begin only at 7am, the enthusiastic participants were already at the venue as early as 5.30am! I bring to you a few shots from yesterday morning.

Nowadays everywhere it is either walk or run for people to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Ipoh is at it again doing all the amazing community events like these one, healthy too, looks like fun

Hi. Its great now that more and more people are going out for exercising. Its not just about work nowadays. Having a balance lifestyle is best. Good article to remind us to do the simplest thing – exercise. Thanks!
Say yes to health! Say yes to walking. This event is good for family and it should held more often. Hope KL has more event like this.

Before this selalu join marathon or walk around kl je. Rasa mcam nak try join luar kl punya event. hehehe
Is this just a casual walk or they have distance e.g. 10km walk or timing? Did they give medals?
Interested to participate in activities like this but I am only familiar with marathon (which I am no longer taking part). Wish to know more about ‘walkathon’.
