Service Excellence Award For Dedicated Ipoh City Council Staff

165 employees of the Ipoh City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh) were presented with the “Service Excellence Award” for 2019, at a simple luncheon ceremony held at Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh.

Ipoh City Mayor Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin along with Deputy State Secretary (Development) Puan Halizah Sipun handed over the awards to the staff, in the form of an appreciation certificate, Bank Simpanan Nasional Premium Savings Certificate valued at RM1000, as well as a branded watch.

The awardees were selected based on points achieved in their annual Performance Evaluation Report with a minimum of 85% over the past three years. 20% were from Year 2017, 35% from 2018, and 45% from 2019.

During the event, Dato’ Rumaizi congratulated the recipients, saying that the award presentation ceremony is an appreciation for their hard work and dedication over the years.

He added, “The Ipoh City Council’s achievements, thus far, are from the passion and commitment from these exemplary employees towards their entrusted responsibilities to make Ipoh one of the best cities in the country.”

The mayor also encouraged all staff members to continue carrying out their duties diligently to put forth the council as a world class local authority, emphasising, “The public’s expectations on the City Council gets higher by the day.”
