9) Boat Quay / Clarke Quay
One could take a leisurely walk along Boat Quay and Clarke Quay and just soak in the night lights and ambience. Sit by the bank, if you are reluctant to buy a drink at one of the many F&B outlets lining the Singapore River bank, and just watch the cruise boats pass by.
It offers a different façade of Singapore, without the sense of rush of the locals, who seem to have only one thing on their mind – catching their next MRT/bus ride.
But I think that joggers/runners here have somewhat spoilt the peace of the area. Still, it is a welcome change of pace.
How to get there?:
The nearest MRT Station is Clarke Quay (North East Line).
