Teratak Warisan Kampung
The husband and wife team of Saidi Othman and Zaliah Ibrahim who run Teratak Warisan Kampung during the past 15 years have kept the food served at the restaurant as authentic as possible.
Said to be traditional recipes from Malay villages in Kuala Kangsar, some of which are only available at this eatery, with Zaliah in charge of the kitchen, about 30 different dishes are served daily.
Apart from ordering off the menu, there are also stalls at the front of the restaurant serving even more local delicacies such as sup tulang.
Patrons at Teratak Warisan Kampung enjoy the food here, mainly because the home-style cooking of Zaliah reminds one of home.
Teratak Warisan Kampung receives a steady supply of river catch of freshwater fish and prawns, as you can see from these photos, and when pressed for her speciality, Zaliah recommended her “rendang udang galah” (giant freshwater prawns cooked in curry). There you go. Now you know what to order when dining at Teratak Warisan Kampung in Kuala Kangsar, Perak!
