PSPA International Ensemble: “Mozart on Silk Road”
Music fans, stay tuned. The PSPA (Perak Society of Performing Arts) International Ensemble will be presenting an orchestral concert this Friday, Aug 23, at the Royal Perak Golf Club. This sixth season is a fusion of East meets West, entitled “Mozart on Silk Road”.
Creatively arranged and conducted by its Musical Director, Eugene Pook, the concert will see the collaboration of highly acclaimed international musicians from Canada, Taiwan, China, and of course, Malaysia.
This 11-piece ensemble will take audiences on an interesting musical journey that would include Tan Dun’s “Crouching Tiger”, “Dance of the Tao People”, Mozart’s flute quartet and Chen Yi’s Tibetan tunes.
This orchestral concert is simply not to be missed, especially for music lovers, no matter the genre. Music students will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops and master classes conducted by visiting musicians.
