Pre-Event: Voices from Vienna to Broadway
The Perak Society of Performing Arts (PSPA) is proud to present the PSPA Singers Concert 2013: Voices from Vienna to Broadway. This event will be held at Tandoor Grill Restaurant on Nov 16th at 8pm. Admission is by donation, at RM20 for students and RM50 for adults.
The PSPA Singers was founded by Mr. Chin Yoong Kim. Under its current music director, Ms. Marianne Poh, this group of PSPA Singers is made up of a healthy mix of seasoned members and younger talents, with age ranging from 10 to 50 years old.
This year’s choir concert will feature three prominent singers from Thailand; Sirikhwan Buathong (soprano), Thanis Sonkloe (baritone) and Salith Dechsangworn (tenor), who will be singing alongside Ipoh’s very own soprano, Marianne Poh.

The first half of “Voices from Vienna to Broadway” consists of repertoires from popular Mozart operas like Don Giovanni and Cosi Fan Tutte as well as extracts from Bizet’s Carmen and Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. The second half of the show will have musicals through the ages, including tracks from the Sound of Music, Les Miserables and Miss Saigon.
