MOVIDA CNY Open House
Starting with non-stop buffet and free-flow of Carlsberg Draught beer for one hour, patrons of MOVIDA Kitchen+Terrace, Ipoh partied the night away during this Chinese New Year Open House on Feb 26, 2016.
Despite hosting the open house some days after Chap Goh Meh, the official wrapping up of the Lunar New Year celebrations, a festive air still permeated the restaurant / bar as revellers wished one another “Gong Xi Fa Cai!”
A couple of “lions” were present to bring good luck and prosperity not only to the business but also to all guests!
Due to the nature of business, MOVIDA treated the lions to, what else, but beer! One of the lions got itself drunk after downing a bottle, as can be seen in Photo #3 above.
I have to say, despite witnessing many lion dance performances over the years, this was the first time I witnessed a drunken one!
Throughout the night, three patrons also stood a chance to win a barrel each of Carlsberg Draught beer. It was indeed a joyous event for all!
