Perak Gerakan 2015 Chinese New Year Open House

Malaysia is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural country where all races celebrate the major festivities together. It is a peaceful nation and all live harmoniously. Despite our many differences, we are united as one – a Malaysian.

This message was conveyed by the Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd. Kadir at the Perak Gerakan Chinese New Year Open House on the 4th day of the Lunar New Year.

The state-level open house was well-attended by state and Federal leaders from Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia, along with representatives from the Barisan Nasional component parties, party affiliates, supporters, business leaders, friends, and of course, the public.

Although it was technically an “open house”, I noticed that members of the public weren’t provided with enough chairs, which was rather disappointing.

As is customary at such festive events, children received angpows from the wives of dignitaries, wrapping up the morning.
