Mom On Parade 2014: Category A (28 – 40 years)
Super confident mother of two, Vivian Thooy Phooi Fun, from Teluk Intan wowed the judges and audience at this year’s Mom On Parade to beat eight other finalists.
Besides skilfully performing an Indian dance during the talent round, this owner of a fashion store also managed to give an effective reply to her question, “What is your strength?” in the Q&A session.
The nine finalists, having successfully gone through a gruelling preliminary elimination round, had to parade themselves in evening gowns first. After introducing themselves on stage, the contestants had to pick an envelop which contained a question.
It was then time to showcase their talent. While most participants sang and danced, Heng Siaw Hui chose to decorate a cake and Lim Bee Bee, flower arrangement. Thinking out of the box, Yee Lee Kuen had a yoga-cum-drawing session on stage.
For coming up tops in the pageant, Vivian walked away with a Gintell G-Bravo V-Track massage chair worth RM12,988, a professional make-up course worth RM5,800 or SUB skin care products worth RM1,500 and a voucher worth RM688 from Touch Wedding Studio.
The first and second runners-up, Chan Yoke Peng and Tan Mei Leng, also received prizes from these sponsors.
There were three subsidiary titles: Most Elegant, Most Body Beautiful and Most Photogenic. The winners similarly accepted sponsored gifts from Gintell, Panasonic, PL White Gold Jewellery and Touch Wedding Studio.
