Announcement: Shuddup N’ Dance 2017 (Ipoh Parade)

Calling all dancers! It’s time to strut your stuff again at the Shuddup N’ Dance 2017!

What began as a simple celebration of dance by bringing together amateur dancers in the Klang Valley back in 2014, Shuddup N’ Dance has grown year by year to be a street dance competition to be reckoned with, attracting dance teams from the Philippines, Indonesia and the United States of America.

Also, this year’s competition has a new category: Junior Crew Showcase. Yes, for the first time since its inception, the dance floor is finally open to participants below 15 years old to battle among their peers, too!

Kicking off the competition will be a two-day weekend battle at Ipoh Parade Mall. This will be followed by the second leg at CITTA Mall in July and third leg at Klang Parade in August. The Grand Finals will be held at the end of August, where winners from the three legs will compete against one another for supremacy.

Shuddup N’ Dance at Ipoh Parade is scheduled for March 25 and 26. Categories include 1-on-1 Freestlye Battle, Open Crew Showcase and Junior Crew Showcase.

Dancers will stand a chance to win more than RM10,000 in cash and prizes from this selection round:

a) SOLO Champion – RM1,000 cash & prizes
b) SOLO 1st – 3rd Runners-Up – RM250 worth of prizes each
c) OPEN GROUP Champion – RM5,000 cash & prizes
d) OPEN GROUP 1st Runner-Up – RM2,000 cash & prizes
e) OPEN GROUP 2nd Runner-Up – RM1,000 cash & prizes
f) JUNIOR SHOWCASE Champion – RM1,000 cash & prizes
g) JUNIOR SHOWCASE 1st Runner-Up – RM500 cash & prizes
h) JUNIOR SHOWCASE 2nd Runner-Up – RM300 cash & prizes
