Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony @ Impiana Hotel Ipoh
X’mas bells were ajinggling at Impiana Hotel Ipoh when the property hosted a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at its Grand Lobby. The 12-foot red and gold themed tree took centre stage at the premises.
Invited to witness the joyous occasion this festive season were approximately one hundred kids from four children’s homes; Vision Home, Praise Girls Home, The Salvation Army Boys Home and Pertubuhan Pengurusan Pusat Jagaan 1 Malaysia (Perak).
The children received a pleasant surprise when Santa Claus and Santarina came a-calling in their motorised reindeer, bearing candies and chocolates.
To make the occasion more memorable for the kids, activities were lined up just for them, including a hands-on session on piping cupcakes under the guidance of the hotel’s very own pastry chef.
The kids and their guardians were then feted to a scrumptious X’mas buffet specially prepared by the hotel’s culinary team, before they were presented with gifts by Santa Claus and Santarina, sponsored by the hotel.
The colourful and fun-filled event was also joined in by hotel guests, as well as clients to share in the once-a-year festivities, which was in line with Impiana Hotel, Resorts and Spa’s philosophy of improving the quality of life of the underprivileged community, and to reach out to those who are in need.
Said Shirley Hoo, Impiana Group’s Director of Marketing & Communications, “We are committed to reaching out in the spirit of volunteerism through charitable and non-government organisations (NGOs). Therefore, this Christmas event is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility to bring joy to these children during this season of giving.”

Children were so happy to join the activities. Great CSR done by the hotel.
I’ve also attended a Christmas tree lighting recently and I enjoyed it a lot.
Glad these kids like their Santa Claus!
