Probably Perak’s latest hidden gem discovered, Kuak Hill Resort at Kampung Lata Papan, Lenggong, Perak, was opened for business in November 2019.
A through-and-through eco-friendly resort in line with Lenggong Valley’s status as the 2nd National Geopark for Perak after Kinta Valley Geopark, Kuak Hill Resort offers two accommodation types: glamping and villa.
A serene retreat about 450 metres above sea level with a vista of Banjaran Titiwangsa, there are six glamping sites, with two tents per site. Glamping is priced at RM199 per night. On the other hand, there are villas, in three different configurations. Villas go for RM349 per night for single-bed villas, RM399 for doubles, and RM749 for double-storey villas.
Kuak Hill Resort runs promotional offers on their social media accounts every once in a while, offering up to 50% discounts on their accommodation. This means glamping is available at RM100 per night and villas for as low as RM200 (for two pax).
Kuak Hill Resort is reachable via a four-wheel-drive ride over 3km of steep dirt trail. Guests can park their vehicles at two designated parking areas, at a rate of RM10 per night, inclusive of a one-time car wash.
There are a few activities guests can indulge in at Kuak Hill Resort. The pursuits include a guided jungle trekking to a waterfall, Rafflesia hiking, ATV rides, and swimming in the mountain water infinity pool. Don’t doubt the cleanliness of the water as the pool is cleaned regularly, in addition to its three-stage water filtration process.
Guests who stay here from June to August can savour a variety of tropical fruits, including durians, as it is the fruiting season for the 8-acre orchard within the resort.
Also located at Kuak Hill Resort is a cafe manned by an experienced chef who handles food and beverage for all guests. There is a mini zoo as well.
