Mark Your Calendar For Perak’s Best Agro-Tourism Packages at PAC 2024
The inaugural Perak Agrotourism Carnival 2024 (PAC 2024) will be hosted in Lenggong, Perak for three days from 17th until 19th May 2024.
Perak’s unique destinations will converge for the first time at PAC 2024, organised by the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (Perak SADC) in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2024.
The 3-day carnival has a lineup of interesting programmes and activities, offering visitors an extraordinary experience. Located at Tasik Raban Resort, the event will provide a platform for agrotourism operators throughout the state of Perak to approach customers directly through appealing activities and promotions.
Among the attractions available at PAC 2024, besides agrotourism exhibitions, are travel packages with discounts of up to 40%, agro-recreation centres, and extreme sports. Much looked forward to is the hot air balloon ride experience.
Look out for:
a) Explore Nature Kampungku: A specially-priced package to 24 cultural or historical locations in three major towns of Perak, i.e. Kuala Kangsar, Lenggong, and Taiping, for three days and two nights (3D2N).
b) Suka-Suka Lake Retreat: Escape the hustle and bustle of city life, instead experience the tranquility and authenticity of the village. This package includes accommodation in a traditional Perak house, plus ‘kampung-style’ meals.
c) Rumah Ayah An Rusa and Kelulut: If exploring by bicycle is what you like, this electric bike ride package is what you should go for. Explore villages and caves around Lenggong Geopark at a special discount, available only during PAC 2024.
d) A Day in Lenggong Valley: Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and witness the awesome stalactites and stalagmites, while enjoying the fresh countryside air.
e) D’Bendang Chalet: Visitors can feel the nostalgia of D’Bendang Chalet farmers in the comfort of fully equipped facilities while being greeted by the waves of the vast rice fields. This package is available at a special PAC 2024 discount.
PAC 2024 will be launched by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Bin Mohamad. Its primary objective is to boost agrotourism. This industry is becoming more popular among tourists who appreciate the greenery, and want to enjoy holidays responsibly in line with the Prosperous Perak 2030 agenda in the Food Basket Valley Flagship (Food Security) under the Agrotourism Hub programme.
This carnival, supported by the Perak State Government, also has the cooperation of Tourism Perak, Lenggong District Council, Lenggong Tourism Council, including Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah Hulu Perak.
Through PAC 2024, Perak SADC is committed to assist the State Government in reaching its target of 8 million tourist arrivals in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2024 to reactivate the industry, placing Perak state as a major destination, especially in the agrotourism segment. Besides locals, PAC 2024 aims to attract foreign tourists from neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. These countries are among the biggest contributors of international travellers to Malaysia.
The Chief Executive Officer of Perak SADC, YBhg. Dato’ Haji Yahanis Bin Yahya said, in Hulu Perak alone, there are more than 50 eco and agrotourism sites; some of which are developed by Perak SADC. These projects include Gopeng Herb Garden, Gunung Masoorat, Denai Kabus Agro Farm, and Ulu Piah Eco Farm Resort
He added, “Through PAC 2024, we want visitors to be exposed to, not only the attractions in Perak, but also attractive packages at special prices.”
In addition to the opportunity to meet industry players participating in exhibitions and sales related to agrotourism, visitors can shop at the agro bazaar at “rahmah prices”.
