KTM KL-Ipoh-KL New Schedule
KTM Berhad will cease operations for its Kuala Lumpur-Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur shuttle train service from July 1, 2011. Since the announcement was made, I have received many messages from readers who asked if there will no longer be any train service to Kuala Lumpur from Ipoh and vice-versa.
There is the Electric Train Services (read this post on fast train services) but we can still continue to take cheap trains from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur from July onwards thanks to KTM Intercity.
Train times from KL Sentral to Ipoh
8.45am (arrival 11.59am)
2.56pm (arrival 5.58pm)
9.20pm (arrival 12.42am)
11pm (arrival 2.07am)
Train times from Ipoh to KL Sentral
11.21am (arrival 2.06pm)
5.46pm (arrival 9.05pm)
1.53am (arrival 5.30am)
3.19am (arrival 6.40am)
As for train fares, there are three classes:
Economy class – RM12
2nd class – RM22
First class – RM40
Ticket counter hours:
Advance ticket: 9am – 4am
Break: 7pm – 8pm
Current ticket: 9pm – 5pm

There,s so much to say from the experience I had wth my child while sitting down waiting for my number to display…..what kind of system is this to buy a ticket….it’s takes u more than a hour…waiting period….it sucks…..why can’t the freaking government just put wending machine instead…..why put stupid person behind a counter. ….can’t speak English……..what the f….ck……hallo ……get ya system up right……..
