KLIMS 2024 Drives Malaysia’s Vision for Future Mobility
The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 opened its doors on 5th December 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), marking a decade as Malaysia’s flagship automotive event.
Organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia, this year’s exhibition revolves around the theme “Beyond Mobility,” highlighting innovations in sustainability, electrification, and autonomous technology.
The grand opening was officiated by YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, who underscored the event’s critical role in advancing Malaysia’s green and technological future. YB Anthony Loke, Minister of Transport, also attended the ceremony, adding further prominence to the occasion.
KLIMS 2024 showcases cutting-edge developments in mobility, featuring electric vehicles (EVs), hydrogen-powered technology, autonomous driving systems, and solutions for last-mile transportation. This event is aligned with Malaysia’s energy transition goals, focusing on promoting green technologies and encouraging EV adoption, while fostering partnerships between local businesses and global industry leaders to position Malaysia as a hub for automotive innovation in the region.
Addressing the audience, YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to sustainable transport: “Malaysia has the potential to become a regional leader in electric vehicle production and green mobility solutions. Initiatives such as the National Energy Transition Roadmap, the installation of over 3,000 EV charging stations, and tax exemptions for EVs are paving the way for a cleaner, more sustainable future.”

Exciting Debuts at KLIMS 2024
Over 800 attendees celebrated the opening of KLIMS 2024, which featured an impressive array of vehicle launches. GWM unveiled the luxury-focused WEY 80 and rugged Tank 500, while Perodua introduced the futuristic EMO-II concept car. Nissan showcased its new B-SUV, and Toyota presented the Camry Hybrid and Corolla Cross Hybrid. Mazda displayed the versatile CX-60 and CX-80, while KIA launched the stylish Sportage.
Other highlights included MG Motor’s sleek Cyberster, GAC Aion’s GAC M8 and electric ES models, and Honda’s iconic Prelude. Proton captivated with its S70 R3 team car, fresh from the Sepang 1000KM race.
Additionally, Mitsubishi, Royal Enfield, and Xpeng revealed their latest innovations, ensuring a comprehensive display of cutting-edge mobility solutions.

Beyond vehicle launches, KLIMS 2024 offers race simulators, exhibitions from automotive clubs across Malaysia, and exclusive prizes, including a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited and a Perodua Axia, with rewards totalling RM250,000.
