Diverse Menu to Delight Every Taste
“Nawfal” is Arabic for “sea” or “ocean,” a fitting name for a restaurant that takes pride in serving fresh, ocean-inspired dishes.
This month, Nawfal Seafood has unveiled an exciting new menu that caters to a wide variety of preferences. Whether you love Thai, Malay, Western, Chinese-style fusion dishes, or light snacks, there’s a dish for everyone.
Highlights from the menu include:
Siakap Nawfal: A Thai-inspired masterpiece featuring a sauce created by Chef Nabil himself.
Spaghetti Creamy Tom Yum Seafood Pasta: A bold fusion dish combining creamy Western textures with spicy Tom Yum.
Nachos Lava: A playful twist on the classic nachos, bursting with flavour.
Ikan Bakar Portuguese-Style: Grilled fish seasoned with aromatic Portuguese seasoning.
Claypot Assam Pedas and Claypot Tempoyak Ikan Patin: Comforting claypot favourites made with fresh patin fish sourced directly from Sungai Perak.
Another delight is bread grilled over a BBQ pit instead of the usual toaster method. This technique imparts a smoky, charred flavour that elevates the experience. Pair the bread with Nawfal’s homemade pandan kaya, which is rich, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. This combination is a must-try.
The best part? Dining at Nawfal Seafood feels like enjoying a gourmet hotel meal but at an affordable price of just RM10 to RM20 per person.
Meet the Chef Behind the Magic
While Nawfal Seafood was established before the COVID-19 pandemic, the arrival of 33-year-old Chef Nabil Fikri marked a new chapter for the restaurant.
After resigning from his position at Hotel Excelsior Ipoh last month, Chef Nabil joined Nawfal Seafood as a partner and culinary consultant, bringing along his wealth of expertise.
A Tanjung Malim native with a passion for creating culinary wonders, Chef Nabil’s journey started at Sekolah Menengah Teknik in Padang Rengas, where he developed his skills before obtaining a diploma in culinary arts in KL at the Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan University College (KLMUC).
With some 20 years of experience, including a decade in the kitchens of Malaysia’s top 4- and 5-star hotels, Chef Nabil treats his kitchen like a laboratory. He is constantly experimenting to bring fresh ideas to life. His creative touch shines in every dish, making Nawfal Seafood a unique dining spot.
