KLIMS 2024: Pioneering the Future of Mobility
It was an unforgettable celebration of innovation.
The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) wrapped up its 10th edition with an impressive turnout of 183,221 visitors at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). Over seven eventful days, the show brought together nearly 70 automotive and mobility brands under the theme “Beyond Mobility,” spotlighting the latest advancements in electrification and sustainable transportation.
This year’s event featured a stellar lineup of global and local automotive leaders, including Toyota, Perodua, Proton, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, and Harley-Davidson.
International brands like Great Wall Motor (GWM), XPeng, and Leapmotor joined the showcase, delivering a remarkable display of cutting-edge vehicles and prototypes. Malaysia’s automotive ingenuity also took centre stage, with Perodua unveiling its eMO-II EV plus Ativa Fuze, showcasing the country’s growing potential in the mobility sector.
Showcasing Visionary Designs and Concepts
KLIMS 2024 captivated attendees with a parade of futuristic innovations. Toyota led the charge with its FT-3e, Land Cruiser SE, Hilux FCEV, and Kayoibako prototypes, while Nissan impressed with the Hyper Tourer’s bold design. Honda’s Prelude Concept, compact Motocompacto electric scooter, and eVTOL flying car concept added to the excitement, underlining the industry’s forward-thinking approach.
President of the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), En. Mohd Shamsor Bin Mohd Zain, shared, “KLIMS 2024 underscores Malaysia’s role as a key player in the global mobility ecosystem. This year’s show highlighted our dedication to pioneering the future of transportation through collaboration and innovation.”
Recognising Excellence with Best Booth Design Awards
A key highlight of KLIMS 2024 was the Best Booth Design Awards, honouring exhibitors for their creativity and ingenuity. Winners were evaluated on visual appeal, space efficiency, functionality, and interactive elements, with categories which included:

1st Place: UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd.
2nd Place: Proton Holdings Bhd
3rd Place: Perodua Sales Sdn. Bhd.
OEM Category (399 sqm and below):
Stellantis Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
Non-OEM Category:
1st Place: PECCA Leather Sdn. Bhd.
2nd Place: Wedrink Enterprise Management (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
3rd Place: Didi Group
These exhibits brought the theme, “Beyond Mobility” to life with eye-catching designs, hands-on displays, and immersive technologies like VR experiences, making a lasting impression on visitors.
Grand Prizes and Memorable Moments
KLIMS 2024 thrilled attendees with incredible giveaways. Mohd Azzarain Abdul Aziz drove home a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited as the grand prize winner, while Leaw Xiu Qi won a Perodua Axia as the first prize. The event’s Appreciation High-tea honoured these winners alongside exhibitors who brought exceptional innovation to the show.
Building Momentum for the Future
Mr. Richard Teo, Show Manager of KLIMS 2024, expressed pride in the event’s achievements: “KLIMS 2024 has solidified Malaysia’s position as a hub for mobility innovation and sustainability.
