IIFW, which earned the coveted Fashion Week Award of the Year 2019/20 under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC), has become a central platform for positioning Malaysia as a thriving emerging fashion capital by showcasing amazing Perak and Malaysian fashion talents as well as welcoming the world fashion to experience the wonders of Perak through Fashion with a heart.

Last year, for the first time, IIFW was taken out of Ipoh, to Manjung. In July, this prestigious fashion event calls on Taiping as the town celebrates its 150th anniversary, commemorating a rich heritage that dates back to 1874.
According to IIFW founder, Mr. Louis Sebastian, “We have worked tirelessly since the event’s inception in 2017 to create a platform that celebrates fashion and fosters local talents. International IPOH Fashion Week (IIFW) will once again demonstrate its remarkable ability to bring together fashion enthusiasts, philanthropists, and the community at large for a noble cause leaving a lasting impact on both the fashion industry and the lives of those in need under the inspiring ‘Fashion tourism with a heart’ motto.”
At the press conference yesterday afternoon, hosted at La Place Café at Quest International University in Ipoh, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak Berhad Cik Nurmalis Musa said, “My heartfelt gratitude to IIFW founder Mr. Louis, his wife Ms. Adeline, and IIFW committee for creating an impactful tourism-oriented fashion showcase in our beloved state of Perak. I also thank the support from all organisations for making Visit Perak Year 2024 a great success.”
