Impiana Hotel Ipoh We Care & Share CSR Programme
For the second consecutive year, Impiana Hotel Ipoh collaborated with Perak Media Sports and Welfare Club (Kelab Sukan dan Kebajikan Media Perak) to jointly host a breaking of fast meal with underprivileged children from two homes, namely Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kasih Nurul Iman and Rumah Anak Yatim Budi Nurul Huda.
While acknowledging these children as individuals, this Corporate Social Responsibility initiative was an opportunity to give back to the community, all the more meaningful when it was done on the first day of the holy month of Ramadhan.
During the dinner, the two parties also launched the “Sabah Earthquake Relief Fund” in aid of victims of the recent earthquake which struck Ranau, Sabah on June 5, 2015.
The children, from as young as five years old, each received goody bags and “duit raya” from the hotel as well as the media club, with assistance from generous sponsors.
Earlier in the evening, 2,000 packets of Bubur Lambuk were distributed by the hotel to motorists and passers-by along Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah, in front of the hotel. “Bubur lambuk” is a time-honoured Ramadhan dish, whereby the meat porridge is taken to ease the digestive system after a long day of fasting.
