Breaking Fast With Orphans @ Tower Regency Hotel
192 Muslim children from five orphanages in Perak were feted to a scrumptious buffet dinner when they broke fast at Tower Regency Hotel at the invitation of the hotel management. It was an annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by the hotel for the sixth consecutive year since 2009.
The children were from Rumah Anak Yatim Miskin Ar Ridwani (Manjoi), Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim/Miskin Budi Mulia (Chemor), Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Darul Aitam (Temoh), Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim/Miskin Dahikmah (Gopeng) and Asrama Anak Yatim Darul Salam (Sungai Rapat).
Besides enjoying their meal, the children were also presented with goodie bags sponsored by the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation.
Each of them also received a green envelope stuffed with cash and good blessings. These were generously sponsored by philanthropist, Puan Hajjah Ta’ayah bt. Mohd. Rani.
On July 22, Tuesday, from 3pm to 6pm, Tower Regency Hotel will have a drive-in distribution of bubur lambuk (porridge) for the public at their premises.
Since the first distribution exercise three years ago, the number of packets given away increased from 2000 to 3000 and 5000 this year.
The beauty of this charitable event is that everything, from purchasing of ingredients to the preparation, is contributed by the hotel staff.
