A Hong Kong Cantopop extravaganza will be hosted for two evenings on May 26 and 27, 2017 at Syeun Hotel, Ipoh.
A Walk Back In Time 懷舊金曲之旅 is a concert to reminisce the glorious days of Cantopop, from our favourite Hong Kong series theme songs to award-winning hits from the late 1970s, 80s and 90s.
Presented by Perak Women For Women Society (PWW) in conjunction with International Women’s Day, this charity concert is a collaboration with City Ballet, Ipoh’s most prestigious ballet and performing arts academy. The ballerinas will perform “Butterfly Lovers”.
This concert aims to raise RM100,000 for the Perak Women for Women Society to further their cause to assist and support women and children in crisis who are victims of abuse, violence and discrimination. On a yearly basis, PWW serves about 50 to 60 new ‘clients’ in addition to ‘clients’ that they are already assisting on an ongoing basis.
PWW also offers temporary shelter for victims of abuse, violence and any other situations that warrant help. All services provided are free of charge. Therefore, services extended by PWW are purely dependent on public donations.
So, take a trip down memory lane to the glorious days of Hong Kong Cantopop music and dance, at the same time, support a good cause. It’s going to be two wonderful evenings, I can tell.
