9th Asia Cup 2013 Bronze Medal Match: Malaysia vs. Pakistan

The bronze medal match saw Malaysia take on Pakistan.

The Malaysian boys put on a very disappointing display, especially in the early part of the game.

Once the game picked up momentum, it was Pakistan which showed their superiority on the field.

Actually, they were like a wounded tiger striking back, after their failure to feature at the 2014 Hockey World Cup for the first time since its inception, a tournament that they conceived in 1971.

Malaysia just did not seem to have an answer for Pakistan’s attack. And so, Pakistan closed their Asia Cup campaign with bronze, downing Malaysia 3 – 1.
