The presence of the fierce “animals” amidst the banging of drums, clashing of cymbals and crackling of firecrackers was to chase away whatever negative qi (energy) that dared lurk at any corner of the premises.

The first pair of lions went prancing around the hotel, blessing, in particular, business areas of the building, paying great attention to the Sales & Marketing office, because that’s the most important department! Let’s not forget the kitchen, of course, Garden View Coffee House, and business outlets on the ground floor.

Guests and well-wishers had a fun time when four lions started “throwing” mandarin oranges at them. It’s an interesting ritual akin to distributing wealth. May we be blessed with a prosperous year ahead! Gong Xi Fa Cai, Xin Nian Kuai Le!
