Taman Warisan Pertanian Putrajaya
Even though I have visited Putrajaya numerous times and have covered many of its attractions over the years, somehow, Taman Warisan Pertanian (Agricultural Heritage Park) has escaped me. Being a delegate of Road to Agro Tourism 3rd Series gave me access to the local attraction, for which I am appreciative.
Located in the southern part of Putrajaya’s Precinct 16, Taman Warisan Pertanian occupies some 35 acres. Like its name suggests, this is a one-stop park that showcases the agricultural development of Malaysia through generations. These commercial crops include rubber trees, oil palms, coffee, tea, cocoa, fruits, herbs, as well as spices.
With so much to see, I would suggest that visitors rent the buggy (RM25 per vehicle for 7), otherwise, it would be a long and tiring walk around the park with undulating terrain.
As Taman Warisan Pertanian is also an interactive and educational park, thus visitors are able to gain hands-on experience through various agricultural activities conducted throughout the year.
During our visit via Road to Agro Tourism #3, the weather was unfavourable, as can be seen from these gloomy photos. Still, I believe you can get a good overview of what Agricultural Heritage Park is. Find out about their programmes and participate in the activities. There’s knowledge to be gained!
By the way, Taman Warisan Pertanian Putrajaya also makes an ideal outdoor event venue, such as garden weddings.
