I’m not someone who goes ape over food, but corn (or maize) is one goodie that I never refuse. I just love some corn, even if it’s just plain corn on the cob without seasoning.

So, when the Discover Selangor delegation, yours truly included, went visiting a corn field, you could imagine my joy. It was like me falling into a candy jar!

I did not realise that Kuala Selangor is well known for corn, until I saw with my own eyes the acres and acres of green corn fields during our visit one recent afternoon.

Until then, I also did not know that there are so many ways to eat corn, or even drink it! Maybe I should start juicing my corn now, too!

Additionally, corn is one of the world’s healthiest food. This is one awesome reason to eat more of it, without delay!

Corn is also said to be the staple food for North Americans. I have no idea why I love it so. LOL

  1. OMG! So many ways to eat and cook these corn! I can also live happily eating corn and no rice, thanks to my Mom who trained us to enjoy corns when we are kids. Now we never say no for corn 🙂

We also enjoy harvesting and drying it coz we also use it to feed our chickens.

Ah its good to have this kind of simple life 🙂

  2. It’s been a long time since I had any corn. Almost forgot what it taste like.

  3. Hi! Thanks for sharing this. Where is this in Kuala Selangor? My family and I are planning to go there to also see the fireflies.
