Time Tunnel Ipoh Old Town
A year ago, I stumbled upon a new attraction in Ipoh Old Town by the name of @mazing Ipoh Old Town.
At the time, it was very much a project in progress, with still 40% to completion.
Last month, I was told that @mazing Ipoh Old Town is finally in business, and with a more appropriate name: Time Tunnel Ipoh Old Town.
Time Tunnel? Indeed, it sounds familiar. The Time Tunnel Museum in Cameron Highlands is a sister property, hence both share the same concept of taking visitors back to two generations past.
Setting foot at Time Tunnel Ipoh Old Town, we are reminded of the home of our grandparents. With the various classic props displayed, this is a unique place for photoshooting. It is Instagrammable, to sound hip.
Time Tunnel Ipoh Old Town, situated on the first floor of a shophouse along Jalan Panglima, is very nostalgic. By the way, another Old Town attraction, KooKee Ipoh Oldtown, is on the ground floor in the same building.
Not only does the premises portray the setup of a home, there are also old streets lined with stores, a barber shop, and many hidden surprises, to relive the old days of Japanese Occupation in the 1940s right up to 1970s.
If vintage is your cup of tea, Time Tunnel Ipoh Old Town is a definite must-visit. Ride the journey back in time to capture those golden memories of yesteryear.
Time Tunnel Ipoh Old Town is open daily from 9am to 4.30pm. Entrance fee: RM6 per visitor, RM4 child below 12 years and FOC for child below 7.

This time tunnel reminds me of the one in Cameron Highlands. Yupe! It is always nostalgic to look at stuff that we or our parents have used in the olden days. It does bring back all those memories. 😀
