Tanjung Tualang 5 (TT5) Tin Dredge
This tin dredge is known as Tanjung Tualang 5 (TT5), although it is located just beside Chenderong new village, before reaching Tanjung Tualang.
Assembled in the 1930s, this 5000-tonne dredge was retired in early 1990s due to the collapse of world price for tin.
Known as “The Last Dredge”, this is one of the few tin dredges that still has more than 90% of its parts intact.
Visitors are welcome to view the interior of the dredge. Admission fee is RM6 per adult and RM3 per child. Prior arrangement can be made for a guided tour for groups of minimum ten persons. The phone number to call is 014-904 3255.

A grim reminder of past glorious days when “tin was King”!
It’s still looks tilted to one side,
seems like no major repair done on the leak.
Hey Thomas,
Yup, it’s still tilted but they are doing repair works section by section. It is a slow process, not to mention costly!
