Pre-Event: 2nd Ipoh Dancesport Championships 2013
For the second consecutive year, My Dancesport Studio, in collaboration with the Perak Society of Performing Arts (PSPA), will host the Ipoh Dancesport Championships, also at the Grand Ballroom of Kinta Riverfront Hotel, Ipoh, on Sept. 21.
Fully supported and endorsed by World Dance Council, Asian Dance Council and Malaysian Dancers’ Association, this 2nd Ipoh Dancesport Championships 2013 will see the participation of local and international dancers from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore, as well as Kuala Lumpur, Kedah, Penang, and of course, Perak. All in all, there are some 200 entries.
Dancesport, formerly known as ballroom dancing, is no longer only a “couple dance”. Therefore, during the 2nd Ipoh Dancesport Championships, solo events have been introduced.
Another interesting item is the ladies’ event, where both dancers are female, with one of them adopting the male role.
All contests will be conducted in the Modern and Latin Sections. A total of RM7000 in cash prizes are given out to the top three winners in the Latin and Modern Amateur Open Events.
Evening dinner tickets are priced at:
RM200 per pax (VIP table), RM160 per pax (front row), RM120 per pax (second row) and RM100 (third row).
Day event tickets (free seating) are RM30 per person.
