Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2023 National Grand Final
Not one, not two, but three finalists were crowned at the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2023 National Grand Final on 13th October 2023 at Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. These beauties stood out among a total of 18 finalists to captivate the hearts of the jury with their beauty and brains. They were:
Jen Cheah Shi Hui – Miss Malaysia Tourism 2023
Joanne Clare Deaves – Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen of the Year 2023
Shelyn Poh – Miss Malaysia Tourism Metropolitan 2023
Among the eight subsidiary titles, Joanne Clare Deaves also bagged Miss GINTELL Wellness and Miss Le Bisou Charm while Shelyn Poh won Miss King’s Park Lifestyle. The other five subsidiary titles were won by:
Miss Pavalintang Personality – Ellesha Mescchille
Miss Clam Sanctuary Goodwill – Roseanne Lim Janny
Miss Bitney Glamour – Salley Eoh
Best in Talent – Lim Qian
Best in Social Media – Hera Wong Kin Wei
The top three winners not only earned the coveted crowns but were also rewarded with Cash Prizes and Sponsored Gifts, with a total value of RM117,000. Moreover, eligible finalists who met specific entry requirements received scholarships from Peninsula College, each worth RM25,000.
Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2023: Uniting Cultures, Celebrating Beauty and Fostering Community Care
While the Coronation Night was an extravagant event of glitz and glamour, the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant is beyond a “beauty pageant.” It served as a platform to showcase the rich tapestry of colourful cultures and traditions across the diverse states that make up Malaysia. With a focus on Tourism Culture and Friendship, Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant is a broader effort to promote tourism domestically.
Miss Malaysia Tourism 2023 will assume the crucial role of representing Malaysia at the 26th Miss Tourism International 2023 World Final to be held from the 10th to 27th November 2023 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
As Malaysia’s ambassadress, Jen Cheah Shi Hui will promote Malaysia’s tourism splendour on a global stage as part of the 50 participating international delegates from across the world. The crowning of Miss Tourism International 2023 is scheduled for 25th November 2023.
Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2023, was proudly hosted by D’Touch International Sdn Bhd and co-organised by MyShoppo Sdn Bhd. The guest-of-honour was YM Dr Raja Putra Shah, Adviser of the International Entrepreneur Chamber Malaysia.
Earlier, during the Grand Final week, these 18 finalists participated in Charity Visits to the Ti-Ratana Welfare Society and the Selangor King George V Silver Jubilee Fund, as part of the pageant’s initiative to promote a caring heart. They brought joy to the young children and senior residents of these homes, besides essential items.
