Wow, what a night! The Chief Minister of Perak (Menteri Besar Perak Dato’ Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir), Perak MCA Youth Chief cum Perak state executive councillor, Y.B. Dato’ Dr. Mah Hang Soon, their spouses and other state leaders celebrated Mooncake Festival with the people last night.
Karnival Moon Cake is actually a full-day state-level event, which began at 8am and only wrapped up at 11pm with a display of fireworks. The venue of the entire event was Bazaar Bulat, formerly known as Yau Tet Shin Market.
Earlier in the day, there were art and lantern making competitions for children. I only went in the evening just before the arrival of the distinguished dignitaries. Now, what is a celebration without much singing and dancing? In true Malaysian style, we also celebrated with food and broadband internet sales pitch! Hahaha!
