It’s half a month more to the International IPOH Fashion Week (IIFW™ ’18), and it promises to be even bigger and better.
To further drum up support and excitement for this event to celebrate fashion, a press conference was held at the Lost World of Tambun in Ipoh on Monday, 22nd Oct, with Perak Tourism ExCo YB Tan Kar Hing as guest-of-honour.
Season 2 of IIFW™ with the theme “Even Bigger” is a follow-up to the successful inaugural IIFW™ ’17 which was hosted last year.
This exclusive home-grown effort has carved a niche for being a marque fashion event in Malaysia. Similar to IIFW™ ’17, this year’s 3-day event will feature a line-up of fashion designers, 30 female and 5 male models, celebrity guests as well as performers of both local and international stature.
This unique concept fashion gathering has a multi-pronged objective of showcasing Perak/Malaysia-based creative talent in a global platform and at the same time, introduce the Wonders of Perak to the world, starting with international participants of IIFW™ ’18, unveiling to them the local culture, food and popular tourist destinations.
Most importantly, IIFW™ is established with the noble mission to “Save tiny babies”. Funds generated from IIFW™ ’18 are for the benefit of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh.
Tentative programme is as follows:
9th Nov – Opening “Night of Glamour and Glitter” Charity Gala Dinner at Syeun Hotel Ipoh
10th Nov – Runway Fashion Showcase Nite 2 featuring Islamic Fashion and Modern Cultural Fashion (ready-to-wear) and a hair avant-garde @ Syeun Hotel Ipoh
11th Nov – Closing Runway Pret-a-Porter (ready-to-wear), Accessories / Hairdo show by Top Stylist, Casual / Sports / Sports Accessories / Safari & Resort Theme Wear Fashion Showcase @ Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh
Table ticket sales for the opening charity gala dinner is priced at RM3000, RM2000 and RM1500 per table.
Tickets for Nite 2 runway show is priced at RM30 each to encourage and promote opportunities for all to experience a fashion extravaganza of international standard. As for the closing dinner, it is strictly by invitation.
IIFW™ ’18 is open for sponsorships, marketing opportunities and donors, not forgetting members of the public, to help make a difference for the tiny babies at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh.
A collaborative effort is needed to ensure this event is as successful as it can be.
