Celebrating Perak Fashion Designers & Labels With Perak Fashion Week 2018
Six Perak-born fashion designers are collaborating to bring us a first-of-its-kind fashion extravaganza in Perak of national standard. It will be showcased on a 200-foot long runway, the lengthiest in Malaysia by far.
The outfits will be paraded by 20 experienced fashion models from Kuala Lumpur. The average height of these models is 175cm.
This inaugural Perak Fashion Week with the theme ‘Ready to Walk’, will be held on 25th November at AEON Mall Ipoh Klebang, from 2pm until 4pm.
Intan Zuhuri, Suhana, Myamelissa, Angie Ng, Lester Yim and Melvin Chan are established local fashion designers with their own labels. Each of them will present ten outfits.
Expect to watch non-stop action of pure fashion and creativity by our most cherished home-grown fashion designers.
Intan Zuhuri of Siss On Bare will be presenting her stripey collection inspired by deck chairs.
Meanwhile Suhana will showcase her label S.Ash, with the theme ‘Woman in You’. Myamelissa’s label is Myasoka, which means ‘dreamer’. Naturally, her collection has the ‘dreamer’ theme as well.
As for the male fashion designers, Lester Lim of Lester Yim Couture will unveil his Classical Wonderland Collection, a mixture of outfits with vintage and futuristic elements.
On the other hand, Melvin Chan, who is also the event director, will debut his ‘Beauty of Art’ collection.
The 6th designer, Angie Ng, was unable to attend the press conference. As such, her collection will be a surprise. Can’t wait!
On the guest list are 500 VIPs, including the Who’s Who in the industry, as well as fashion icons, not only from Perak but also Penang and Kuala Lumpur.
Perak Fashion Week 2018 is open to all, and is free-of-charge. Therefore, the organisers anticipate to draw a large crowd of 1,000 people.
