Ipoh Famous Tau Fu Fah

Went for my dental appointment this afternoon along “Durian Street” (Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar) and paid a visit to Funny Mountain, a small shop that sells Ipoh’s famous tau fu fah (soya bean curd) and tau jing (soya bean drink).

I was lucky there was no crowd so I was served very quickly. I take my hat off to customers who would queue patiently, some would wait even before the shop opens for business in the morning, just to get their daily dose of soya bean drink. Who could blame them when they sell out so quickly? I like the convenience of Funny Mountain’s drive-through service, though. Don’t have to get frustrated over the lack of parking space.

Besides soya bean curd and soya bean drink, Funny Mountain also sells iced Lengkong. These are all sold at just RM0.90 per glass or bowl. Takeaway is slightly more expensive. Now Funny Mountain even sells Ipoh white coffee.

Funny Mountain, which is located opposite Perfect Ice fresh fruit sherbet and Sin Tat Seng salted chicken, is open daily except Tuesdays, from 10.30am onwards until their taufu fah is sold out.
