More Than Coffee @ Coffee Right Café

Headed out to Jalan Seenivasagam for Vietnamese, but was shocked to find that the restaurant that we wanted to try out has tapau-ed (closed down). So, we made a turn to Persiaran Greenhill. Had no specific eatery in mind but came across Coffee Right Café and decided to give it a go.

Coffee Right Café was officially opened for business on 1st May, 2018. Available daily from 11am to 11pm, it offers brunch, lunch, tea, dinner and even supper. Its extensive menu ranges from snacks to Western main courses, beverages and ice cream; definitely beyond coffee as illustrated by its name and logo.

Alongside à la carte, the café provides set meals, going at RM10.90 each. Currently, there are four options: Mongolian Curry Fried Chicken, Chicken Chop, Pork Chop and Fried Fish Fillet. Sets are inclusive of rice, a drink (sugar cane, soya bean or iced lemon tea), as well as Soup of the Day (mushroom soup was served to us).

Tea time sets, at RM7.90 each, are also available. You can pair any slice of cake with coffee.

As seen from these photos, we ordered from both the lunch set and à la carte menu, for variety.

Among the many Ipoh cafés of this price range that we dined in recently, Coffee Right is one eatery that serves better quality rice, which certainly makes the meal more enjoyable.

On the other hand, the Mongolian Curry Fried Chicken was a miss, in our opinion. Unsure how authentically Mongolian this dish is, not having visited the Land of Eternal Blue Sky, but it’s an odd combination of fried chicken topped with chilli paste.

Nonetheless, Coffee Right Café is worth a second visit, this time for its range of cakes and coffee.
