How & Where to Get Latest TNB Bill During MCO

Following the enactment of Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia beginning 18th March, 2020, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) issued a statement on its website that there will be a temporary halting of meter reading operations and bill rendering beginning 20th March, in compliance with the order.

Thus far, the MCO has been extended until 28th April and many of us are surely wondering what happens to our electricity bill?

TNB has stated on its website that our April bill is an estimation based on our consumption in March, and will be adjusted when the meter reader visits our premises to read the meter after MCO is lifted.

Because printed bills will not be available at this time, we are to retrieve our latest bill from myTNB portal at www.mytnb.com.my or myTNB mobile app.

I have checked my bill by clicking to www.mytnb.com.my. It is not necessary to register for an account if you select the EXPRESS PAYMENT button, which will lead you to this web page.

Key in your 12-digit TNB account number which is obtainable from your previous month’s bill. Tick “I am not a robot” and then click on Search button.

Your bill will be disclosed, which you can then print out or pay directly. That’s the reason it is called EXPRESS PAYMENT.

There is no mention about the discount of up to 50% that TNB has assured to give from 1st April until 30th September, relieving us of the financial impact that most of us are facing during this COVID-19 pandemic. GGrrr, guess we will have to settle the full bill for now.
