Hospital Seri Botani Opens
With the opening of Hospital Seri Botani, residents in Ipoh South and its greater region will have quick access to quality, efficient, and affordable private healthcare.
The hospital, which opened its doors on 7th February 2023, organised its first public event in a 3-day Open Day celebration recently to create health awareness among the public, as well as to showcase its facilities.
Hospital Seri Botani strategically sits on a piece of land that measures 18.4 acres as part of the 1,200 acreage mixed development of Bandar Seri Botani’s self-sustaining township. At this point, Phase One of the hospital is completed with six acres of land used, at a cost of RM110 million. It currently offers 30 patient beds, and is expected to have a total of 150 beds, gradually increasing over the next few years when it is full-fledged in operation.
For now, the main building of this tertiary hospital boasts a gross floor area of 192,000 square feet, over 7 levels, including the lower ground. There are 12 consultants with specialities ranging from anesthesia to radiology, covering crucial disciplines. The hospital comprises Consultation Suites, Well-Equipped Operating theatres, Delivery Suites, Intensive Care Unit, 24 hours Emergency Service inclusive of an asthma bay, and retail shops.

Hospital Seri Botani Chief Operating Officer, Mr Ng Chee Hoong said, “In meeting the futuristic needs of the healthcare industry, we are equipped with advanced medical equipment and medical technologies, including the 128 Slice CT Scan – the gold standard for performing Coronary Artery Scanning and fibre-optic endoscopic equipment.
“We strive to enhance the health of our community by combining and harnessing strengths in clinical care, continuous education, and bringing in the latest technology to deliver quality and value.”
More specialists are expected to join Hospital Seri Botani in the coming months. Facilities and services to be included during this period of time are a 1.5 magnetic Resonance Imaging Scanner (MRI), Mammogram, a Cardiac Catheterisation laboratory, and a Wellness Centre.
