Datuk Lee Chong Wei made an appearance at Sekolah Menengah Shen Jai yesterday morning to lend a hand to the fund-raising programme of this Chinese independent school.
I may not be a great fan of Datuk Lee Chong Wei. In fact, I hardly watch badminton but as the current world number one badminton player, he has his drawing power. Hence, I was drawn to an environment where almost everyone spoke in a foreign language.
The theme of the event was “Badminton Tegas Pendidikan” but it’s sort of like an Open Day-cum-fund raising event. Limited edition Yonex badminton racquets were on sale, which were then autographed by Datuk Lee Chong Wei.
