A Closer Look at Hotel Excelsior’s Ramadan Buffet: Jom Iftar Citarasa Excelsior
At Hotel Excelsior Ipoh’s Dulang Coffee House, the Jom Iftar Citarasa Excelsior buffet focuses on traditional local cuisine, reasonable pricing, and an ambiance that strikes the right balance between comfort and practicality, making it well-suited for families, corporate groups, and regular diners alike.
Led by Executive Chef Faizul Yusof, the kitchen has structured the buffet with balance in mind rather than excess.

Structured Variety
The buffet features:
.
What adds depth to the dining experience is the four-menu rotation system. The dishes change daily, meaning the selection evolves across the week. For guests who plan repeated visits, this arrangement prevents repetition, also keeps the presentation relevant throughout the month of Ramadan.

The meal begins with delicious staples. Bubur Lambuk provides the expected savoury warmth associated with Ramadan evenings. Along with it, Bubur Kacang Hijau (or another option) offers a gentle, slightly sweet option. These practical, comforting openers ease diners to truly enjoy the yummy food.

Grill Section
As with previous Ramadan buffet dinners at Hotel Excelsior Ipoh, the grill-cum-carving station remains a focal point. Depending on the booking volume for each evening, guests are served either grilled lamb shoulder or a whole grilled lamb. Rather than being a fixed showpiece, the grill offering adapts to demand. This ensures better portion control and freshness.

Additionally, the buffet’s quality lies in its familiar local dishes.
Among the highlights are:

Meanwhile, other mouthwatering options include Fish Fingers with Tartar Sauce, Butter Vegetables with Chicken, and Stir-fried Long Beans with Tempeh, ensuring the spread appeals to both traditional diners and younger guests.

Furthermore, there are live-action stalls for fresh preparation. The noodle and goreng-goreng stations add practical value to the buffet. Food prepared on request maintains texture and temperature, which is especially essential during busy Ramadan services.

Dessert Selection with Width
With 20 dessert options, the selection covers traditional kuih, cakes and chilled sweets. The focus is on range rather than novelty. Guests can sample small portions without feeling overwhelmed.
For many families, dessert becomes a shared experience: taking a little of several items and returning to the table to compare notes.
