4,000 Bubur Lambuk FREE Distribution Via Drive-Through

With Ramadan just around the corner, staff of Hotel Excelsior distributed 4,000 bowls of bubur lambuk (porridge) to motorists via drive-through in front of their hotel.

An annual activity prior to the start of Ramadan, this year, the main sponsor was the Lions Club of Ipoh Heritage. The initiative was also supported by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and Ipoh City Council (MBI).

Cooking the 4,000 bowls of bubur lambuk took almost the entire day. It was the effort of all parties involved that made this activity a success, based on the gotong-royong concept.

We are tentatively just a couple of days before Ramadan, so motorists and the local community were pleasantly surprised by the free bowls of warm bubur lambuk, timely for dinner on a cold evening.

Guest-of-honour was YB Loh Sze Yee, Chairman of Tourism, Industry, Investment & Corridor Development Committee of the Perak State Government. Tuan Zulkifli Sidek (Senior Director of the Ipoh City Council) represented the Ipoh City Mayor.
