Break Fast with Traditional Malay Kampung Fare @ Tower Regency Hotel, Ipoh
A mouth-watering array of buffet spread for buka puasa awaits diners during the month-long Ramadan at Tower Regency Hotel, Ipoh.
With the theme “Semarak Rasa Ramadan”, traditional Malay kampung fare takes the spotlight of the menu, that features tens of delicious main courses.
Among the items are popular Nasi Briyani, Rendang Daging, Daging Masak Hitam, Ayam Kalio, Ayam Masak Merah, Pajeri Nenas and Siput Sedut Masak Lemak.
And of course, who can forget Bubur Lambuk, a must-have dish to break fast with?
What adds colour to the interesting Iftar meal at Tower Regency Hotel is the row of action stalls, whereby guests can see for themselves how food is prepared.
Some of the stalls are Bakso, Cendol, Ais Kacang, as well as Goreng-Goreng of Cucur Udang, Pisang and Keropok Lekor. Probably the most looked forward to is Grill counter that is available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It offers chicken, fish and whole lamb.
I have to admit, even though I try to abstain from red meat, I couldn’t resist the aroma from the grill by the poolside.
I am glad to report that the lamb was very tender and succulent, with hardly a trace of its gamey taste. You wouldn’t be wrong if you chose either mint or black pepper sauce to go with the meat.
By now, maybe you’re wondering how much this Ramadan buffet costs. It’s RM55 nett /adult and RM40 nett /child from Mondays to Thursdays, while it is RM58 nett /adult and RM45 nett /child on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, which includes the grill counter.
Early bird prices are at RM48 nett /adult and RM38 nett /child, to be purchased latest by 30th April, and utilised only from 6th until 12th May. Therefore, grab as many of these early bird vouchers as possible to enjoy this discount to the maximum.
Rest assured that the hotel provides comfortable prayer rooms for their Muslim guests during this holy month, at Level 10.
Also, for the convenience of out-of-towners, discounted rooms are available at RM180 nett for Deluxe King, inclusive of sahur and Ramadan buffet for one pax. On the other hand, Deluxe Twin is priced at RM250 nett, inclusive of sahur and Ramadan buffet for two pax.
